Dawson Jones Recruitment is supporting a well-established organisation with the appointment of an experienced Repairs Manager on a temporary to permanent basis. This is a key operational role, responsible for leading the delivery of responsive repairs services through external contractors, ensuring performance, compliance and customer satisfaction across the service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery of responsive repairs services across the housing portfolio.
- Manage external contractors and internal team performance, ensuring KPIs, service standards and compliance requirements are met.
- Identify building defects and specify effective remedial works.
- Monitor budgets, costs and contractor spend, ensuring value for money and cost control.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety, statutory obligations and regulatory standards.
- Manage operational issues, escalations and stakeholder engagement across the organisation.
- Provide leadership, direction and support to the repairs team.
About You:
- Proven experience in a senior repairs, maintenance or property services role within housing or a similar environment.
- Strong technical understanding of building defects and remedial works.
- Experience managing contractors, service performance and operational delivery.
- Confident leader with experience managing and developing teams.
- Strong operational, commercial and stakeholder management skills.
