Dawson Jones Recruitment is supporting a well established organisation to appoint a Surveyor within their property services team. This role centres on contractor management, quality assurance, budget control and delivering high standards of customer service.
The Role
You will take responsibility for day to day responsive repairs and minor works, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to agreed standards.
- Managing responsive repairs and minor works in occupied properties
- Carrying out inspections, diagnosing defects and specifying remedial works
- Supervising contractors and ensuring works are delivered to agreed quality, cost and timescale standards
- Reconciling valuations, approving variations and controlling project budgets
- Minimising financial, operational and health and safety risks
- Responding to complex repair cases and customer escalations
- Monitoring contractor performance and ensuring compliance with agreed standards
- Providing technical advice and guidance to colleagues and internal stakeholders
You will demonstrate:
- Relevant qualification such as HNC, BTech, CIOB, RICS or equivalent experience
- Experience delivering building works in occupied homes
- Strong contractor supervision and performance management
- Sound technical knowledge of construction and construction related health and safety
- Experience managing budgets and controlling project costs
- Confident decision making and problem solving skills
- A genuine customer focused approach
- Full UK driving licence
