Job Summary
Working closely with our Design, Project Management and Delivery teams, you will be responsible for producing accurate technical drawings and detailed design information to support the successful delivery of hospitality fit-out projects, including commercial kitchens, bars, restaurants, hotels and leisure venues, from concept through to completion.
The ideal candidate will have experience within commercial interiors, hospitality fit-out, commercial kitchens, bar design, construction or a related design environment and be confident translating design concepts into detailed technical drawings.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce detailed technical drawings and design packages using CAD software.
- Create and maintain accurate layouts, plans, elevations, sections and installation details for commercial kitchens, bars and hospitality environments.
- Convert client and design team drawings into project-ready CAD files and documentation.
- Liaise with Design Managers, Project Managers and Site Teams to ensure drawings meet project requirements.
- Work closely with internal departments to resolve design and technical queries.
- Prepare drawing schedules and project documentation where required.
- Review drawings for accuracy, practicality and compliance with project specifications.
- Identify potential design or installation issues and propose effective solutions.
- Ensure all drawings are issued in accordance with project programmes and deadlines.
- Support continuous improvement within the design and technical delivery process.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a CAD Designer, Draftsperson or Technical Designer.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or equivalent CAD software.
- Experience producing technical drawings within hospitality, commercial kitchens, bars, commercial interiors, fit-out, construction or related sectors.
- Ability to interpret architectural and technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a practical approach to design.
- Experience in commercial kitchen design, bar design, hospitality fit-out or foodservice environments.
- Knowledge of catering equipment layouts, front-of-house bar operations, joinery and interior fit-out detailing.
- Experience producing drawing packages for site installation and project delivery.
- Experience with 3D modelling software such as SketchUp, Revit or similar.
