Responsibilities
- Act as the main purchasing contact for engineering team.
- Manage purchase requisitions and ensure timely, accurate ordering.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers, monitoring quality, cost, and delivery performance.
- Drive cost-reduction initiatives and identify opportunities for improved sourcing and standardisation.
- Evaluate costs, quality, and suitability of suppliers, materials, and equipment; select and support the development of suitable vendors.
- Maintain compliance with procurement policies and promote safe working practices.
Qualifications
- Procurement experience, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and supplier-management skills.
- Previous manufacturing environment is desirable.
- High level of numerical accuracy and analytical ability.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Professional and confident communicator.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
