A reputable law firm in Cambridge are seeking a Patent Support Specialist to join their busy team on a full-time, 1-Year Contract basis. Initially, the role will be on a 1 year contract. However, it is possible that the role could become permanent. This role is perfect for a candidate with at least nine months’ experience in patent administration. A CIPA qualification would be excellent, although, this is not essential if you are qualified by experience. Ideal for a candidate with experience in formalities, records, filings. The purpose of this role will be to provide high-quality support to Patent Attorneys. Duties will be wide-ranging and you will be responsible for: Preparing and filing patent applications. Ensuring cases within the firm’s IP management database are kept updated, including raising new cases / closing old cases. Effectively liaising with clients, via telephone, email etc, answering queries and advising them where possible. Acknowledging client instructions and acting upon these accordingly.
