Rainbow Care are looking for a compassionate, reliable, and energetic Childrens Care Worker to join our dedicated team. This is a rewarding role where you'll support children to feel safe, valued, and empowered as they grow and develop. You will be part of a brand new home providing a supportive environment where every day brings opportunities to make a positive impact.
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Providing day-to-day support, emotional support, and encouragement
- Helping children build confidence, independence, and life skills
- Supporting routines such as mealtimes, education, activities, and personal care if required
- Creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment
- Working closely with team members, families, and professionals
- Keeping accurate records and contributing to care plans
The ideal candidate will have the following skills/qualifications:
- NVQ level 3 or 4 in residential childcare (or equivalency)
- Experience in working in a children's residential setting
- A genuine passion for supporting children
- Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills
- Ability to stay calm under pressure and adapt to changing situations
- A team player with a positive, proactive attitude
- Experience in childcare, education, or care settings is helpful but not essential
- Willingness to complete training, including safeguarding
- Enhanced DBS check required (or willingness to obtain one)
- Happy to work on a pre-planned rota basis covering day and night shifts, which may include sleep-in and waking nights. Hours will vary depending on the home's need.
- Happy to work across two homes when required (located within 8 minutes of each other)
