We are looking for a new team member to support our growing Sports & Popular Culture PR offering.
If you have 3/4+ years of experience managing PR campaigns for sporting, fitness/wellness and popular culture clients, and are looking to join a successful, lively and rapidly expanding team, we would love to hear from you.
We are looking for a great communicator, who is passionate and knowledgeable about sport and the wider sport industry, that is committed to delivering great results for their clients. The ideal candidate will have a broad understanding of sports, fitness and wellness industries and their intersection with lifestyle and popular culture, be up to speed with the ever-changing media landscape, have solid relationships with all relevant media (national, sports, lifestyle and broadcast) and be confident in making strategic recommendations to clients and key stakeholders.
We expect you to be able to juggle multiple campaigns – a mix of project based work and retainer clients – and to share the agency’s ambitions for future growth/evolution and possess the ability and work ethic to support building and developing the agency’s sports and popular culture roster.
Our sports and popular culture work includes clients such as Silverstone British Grand Prix, The F1 Exhibition, Football Manager, Formula 1, The R&A, Padelstars, Wellnergy Festival, Rocket Sports management and Tencent PUBG Mobile .
At DawBell you will get to:
- Play a key role in growing DawBell’s sports offering
- Work on exciting projects and pitches
- Be solely responsible for managing your own campaigns from launch to release, including creating strategic PR plans, pitching to media outlets and demonstrating
- Have direct liaison with agents, events teams and client management, building and maintaining good relationships
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities
- Assist the Account Director (Sports) on key clients

About you:
- Minimum of 3+ years experience managing PR for sports, lifestyle/wellbeing or popular culture clients, ideally within a similar agency environment
- A thorough knowledge of the current media landscape
- Strong media contacts across national, sports, lifestyle and broadcast media
- Demonstrable understanding of strategy and how to use to best effect in campaigns, with support from the Account Director (Sports)
- Solid writing skills (press releases, general content)
- Good presentation skills, supporting and presenting decks
- Excellent time management – able to work to strict deadlines and multi-task
- Strong communicator, with fantastic people skills. Passionate, open and friendly
- A calm and efficient problem solver, able to independently provide solutions
- Results driven for clients and able to work as a team
