Dawat-e-Islami is looking for a teacher to join the Faizan Weekend Islamic School team.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver innovative and engaging lessons in Tajweed and Islamic Studies.
  • Ensure provision of high-quality education, in line with organisational expectations, for children aged 6-14, using textbooks, course books and other learning materials.
  • Complete regular progress sheets and compile a summary for feedback to parents.
  • Follow the prescribed teaching timetable.

Essential Requirements:

  • Excellent knowledge of Tajweed and Islamic Studies.
  • Pass the test in Tajweed and Islamic studies.
  • Passionate about raising achievement and providing the best possible Islamic education for all children.
  • Ability to relate well to young people.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Participate in ongoing training for continued professional development (Organisational & professional).
  • Self-motivated, organised and professional.

Desirable Skills:

  • Successfully completed Alim/Alima/Hifz/Qiraat course or a similar Islamic course.
  • Experience of teaching Islamic Studies.
