Registered Nurse – Peritoneal Dialysis

Full-Time

550 North 12th Street, Suite 110, Lemoyne, Pennsylvania

We are seeking a self-motivated, organized individual passionate about patient care and eager to independently manage cases with confidence and accountability. As a Peritoneal Dialysis Registered Nurse (PD RN), you will educate patients and caregivers about peritoneal dialysis in a clinical setting, enabling them to perform dialysis at home. You will be responsible for the ongoing care of each patient to ensure their treatment remains on track.

Dialysis experience is NOT required. Nephrology nursing offers a new perspective and skill set for those new to the field.

What you can expect:

  • Provide comprehensive patient care in an independent setting. Apply core nursing skills to assess, diagnose, and develop complete care plans, viewing the patient holistically. Manage your cases and organize care, witnessing the impact of your care on patients’ lives.
  • Empower patients by teaching them to administer their own dialysis and take control of their health. Training requires time and mental energy, but the rewards include seeing patients transform from feeling sick and afraid to feeling strong, independent, and capable of enjoying daily activities. Educating patients about dialysis options helps expand the program to more beneficiaries.
  • Wear multiple hats — Nurse, Coach, Leader. Work independently while building strong relationships with patients, support systems, and care partners.

Schedule:

  • Typically an 8-hour day Monday through Friday, with weekends and holidays off.
  • Manage your own cases and schedule flexibly.
  • Home visits and on-call shifts vary and are compensated accordingly.

What we\’ll provide:

  • Clear, competitive career progression for lifelong nursing careers.
  • Paid 9-12 week training for those new to dialysis, with support to become a nephrology nurse.
  • Annual $3,000 tuition reimbursement, potential $25,000 scholarship, and certification reimbursement. Access to 100+ free CEU courses.
  • Comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401k match, family resources, mental health support, and more.

Requirements:

  • Current RN license in the practice state.
  • Minimum 12 months RN experience.
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and insurance.
  • Associates Degree in Nursing (A.D.N) from an accredited school; B.S.N. or diploma from an accredited program may substitute.
  • Basic computer skills, proficiency in MS Word and Outlook. Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination requirements or qualified exemption is necessary.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in Chronic Hemodialysis, Acute Dialysis, Home Hemodialysis, or Peritoneal Dialysis.
  • Background in training, teaching, or healthcare education.
  • Case management experience.
  • Interest or familiarity with telehealth technologies.
  • Certifications: CNN, CDN, or CPDN.
