What you’ll do

When you join the team with Davisons Law as a Post Completion Assistant (Fixed Term Contract – Maternity Cover), you will handle the final stages of property transactions after completion, ensuring all necessary documentation is processed accurately and efficiently. This role involves a mix of administrative and legal tasks related to conveyancing, particularly focusing on post-completion procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To understand Residential Property conveyancing and work alongside colleagues in the wider Residential Property team.
  • To ensure that all post completions processes are finalised, including.
  • Payment of Stamp Duty Land Tax to HMRC within required timeframes.
  • Serving Notices to any Landlords.
  • Registering new owners with the Land Registry, including First Registrations.
  • Complying with Lender Post Completion Requirements
  • To liaise with residential conveyancing teams across all offices to ensure that any outstanding queries are fully resolved at the earliest opportunity.
  • To close and archive files, ensuring all case management and paper-based folders are completed fully.
  • To work with an attention to detail.
  • To provide general conveyancing administration and support where necessary
  • To have experience of handling client enquiries both face to face, remotely and by telephone.
