This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Civil Litigation Solicitor / Legal Executive at our office in Cotteridge, Birmingham to join a supportive team and gain hands-on experience in Civil Litigation.
What you’ll do
When you join the Davisons Law team as a Civil Litigation Solicitor / Legal Executive, you will manage your own case load with minimum supervision. The successful candidate will handle a variety of civil disputes, providing legal advice and representation for clients in matters including but not limited to company and partnership disputes, contract disputes, consumer disputes and preferably with experience in building & construction disputes and general commercial disputes. You will have a minimum of 2 to 5 Years PQE as a Civil Litigation Solicitor or Legal Executive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong professional working relationships with new and existing clients.
- Manage own work allocation must have proven track record as a Civil Litigation Solicitor or Legal Executive Fee Earner.
- Prepare legal documents.
- Attend and represent clients in court when requested.
- Gather evidence to support the client's case.
- Process cases on a timely and cost-effective basis.
- Strong organisational skillset, IT literate and experience of using web-based case management systems.
- Be commercially astute, understanding the importance of business targets and their impact to the practice, generating a fee income in line with agreed targets.
- Supporting/development of assistants and paralegals within the Civil Litigation department.
- Have experience in building & construction disputes and general commercial disputes.
- Experience of handling client enquiries both face to face, remotely and by telephone.
