This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Property Conveyancer/Solicitor to join a supportive team and will be dealing with a range of matters relating to conveyancing, particularly involving New Build properties.
What you’ll do
When you join the team with Davisons Law as a Property Conveyancer/Solicitor, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing your own caseload of new build property matters, from inception through to conclusion, including sales, purchases, shared ownership, right to buy, and lease extensions ensuring transactions progress smoothly and efficiently. You will have a relevant qualification (i.e. solicitor, CILEx, CLC) or have considerable experience in conveyancing and managing your own caseload.
Key Skills and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for managing and overseeing your own caseload of new build purchase files and related sales/part-exchanges, from inception through to conclusion, including sales, purchases, shared ownership, right to buy, and lease extensions.
- Develop and maintain strong professional working relationships with new and existing clients, providing legal advice and support throughout the conveyancing process.
- Have exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Have excellent technical experience and knowledge of conveyancing procedures and regulatory obligations, as well as the ability to process cases in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
- Must have proven record as a Residential Property Solicitor/Conveyancer Fee Earner with expertise in New Build properties.
- Ensure compliance with departmental procedures.
- Process cases on a timely and cost-effective basis, achieving agreed billing targets.
- Have a strong organisational skillset, IT literate and experience of using web-based case management systems.
- Be commercially astute, understanding the importance of business targets and their impact to the practice, generating a fee income in line with agreed targets.
- Work on freehold, leasehold, and shared ownership properties.
- Experience of handling client enquiries both face to face, remotely and by telephone.
