What you’ll do

When you join the team with Davisons Law as a Private Client Legal Secretary, you will provide effective support to our Private Client Department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide full support to our Private Client Solicitors to enable them to operate efficiently.
  • Prepare correspondence using our case management system.
  • Liaise with clients both on the telephone and in person.
  • Administer filing systems which will include daily filing and the opening, closing, storage and retrieval of client files.
  • Ensure that correct procedures relating to the storage and sending out of clients deeds and documents are followed at all times.
  • Provide support and guidance to other assistants as required and at all times work as a team player.
  • Undertake any specific training when required to do so and overall to have a responsibility towards self-development.

You will:

  • Have experience and knowledge of working within a Private Client department.
  • Demonstrate initiative and be able to undertake searches, ID checks and other work on files without dictation.
  • Possess high levels of speed and accuracy.
  • Have a good telephone manner and be comfortable speaking with clients both on the telephone and in person.
  • Be highly organised, methodical, and adaptable.
  • Have some experience in using Audio Typing.
  • Have an understanding of the concept of confidentiality and how to deal with confidential information.
