With the current boom in the construction industry, Davis Mills has been instructed by our client to source a talented Project Manager (No. 1). The company is an ambitious construction main contractor based in North West London. They provide high-end building expertise across the fit-out and refurbishment sectors, predominantly working alongside blue-chip clients and high-net-worth individuals.

The Project Manager will be the No. 1 on site at the Wentworth Estate. The project involves the construction of a fabulous residential property with a build cost of £25m.

The Role

  • Reporting to senior management, the company requires a Project Manager who will contribute at the highest level, taking responsibility for the safe, timely and successful delivery of the project to the client’s satisfaction.
  • The Project Manager will ensure that, throughout the project, all aspects of health and safety, environmental, quality, technical and commercial management are implemented and maintained.
  • The Project Manager will also create and establish a team appropriate for the project, with a focus on developing and retaining staff.

Background of the Project Manager

The Project Manager will have a strong background in construction and be extremely competent in delivering projects on time, to the required quality standards and within budget.

Other prerequisites include:

  • Strong academic background
  • Proven main contracting track record
  • Ideally, some experience of Design & Build (D&B)
  • Strong management and communication skills
  • Commercially and technically competent
  • Strong appreciation of health and safety, procedures and programme management
  • Comfortable managing meetings and dealing directly with the client and their representatives
  • Current site certifications, e.g. CSCS card, SMSTS and First Aid

The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Project Manager to join an expanding main contractor that is securing long-term clients and developing interesting expansion plans for the future. The company offers either a long-term freelance assignment or a permanent position, with a starting salary package of up to £95,000.
