Talented Mechanical Site Manager required. We are working alongside a successful building main contractor based in London, with an increasing turnover offering secure employment. They already have a brimming order book for this year. The contractor specialises in the luxury residential market, working on both new build and refurbishment schemes, as well as large hotel and commercial developments.
The successful Mechanical Site Manager will be located at a £40m site in the Loughton area of Essex. The project is a new build property and is at the internal phase of the scheme. The successful Mechanical Site Manager will be responsible for managing and administering specialist subcontractors, supervising, coordinating and planning the works on site, reviewing contractor design elements and ensuring that the project deliverables are achieved with regard to safety, quality, programme and cost.
The Mechanical Site Manager will liaise with and coordinate all works with particular responsibility for the installation of AC and ventilation systems, managing contractors and direct labour commissioning and handover.
The successful Mechanical Site Manager will have a strong mechanical bias, with an excellent understanding of the project cycle from first fix:
- Main or sub contracting background
- In-depth understanding of AC and ventilation systems
- Strong management and communication skills
- Commercially and technically competent
- Strong appreciation for health and safety, procedures and programme
- Comfortable with managing meetings and dealing with the client and their representatives
