About Davis Ground IT Services
Davis Ground IT Services is a growing Managed Service Provider delivering professional, reliable IT support to businesses across the UK. Due to continued growth, we are expanding our technical team and are looking for a capable and motivated Support Engineer who takes pride in delivering excellent service and solving real technical problems. This is an opportunity to join a close-knit, technically focused team where you will gain exposure to a wide range of client environments, modern cloud platforms, and varied technologies.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a self-driven and motivated IT Support Engineer with 2-3 years’ experience working in an IT support or MSP environment. You will act as a frontline technical resource for our clients, providing both remote and on-site support while developing your technical capability across modern Microsoft and cloud technologies. This role suits someone who enjoys working across multiple customer environments and is comfortable managing varied support requests in a fast-paced MSP setting. We are looking for a locally based candidate within the Midlands area.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for technical support via phone, email, and remote support tools
- Accurately diagnose, qualify, and document customer issues
- Provide support for workstations, servers, printers, networks, and business applications
- Deliver both remote support and occasional on-site support to client locations across the UK
- Support Microsoft 365 environments including user administration and troubleshooting
- Maintain clear communication with clients throughout issue resolution
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through professional and effective service delivery
Who You Are
With 2-3 years of experience in IT support, you are a practical problem solver with a strong customer focus. You are comfortable troubleshooting technical issues independently while knowing when to escalate appropriately. You are keen to continue developing your technical skills and want exposure to real-world business IT environments rather than a siloed internal support role.
Essential Skills
- Strong administration and support experience with Windows 10 and Windows 11
- Active Directory and Microsoft 365 user administration (mailboxes, permissions, onboarding)
- Experience supporting Microsoft 365 environments including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint and Entra ID
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals including LANs, switches, VLANs and business broadband connectivity (FTTC, FTTP, leased lines)
- Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows, Microsoft 365 and Teams
- Experience installing, configuring and upgrading PC hardware, software and print devices
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies and applications
- Awareness of cybersecurity best practices including MFA, endpoint protection and secure user administration
Desirable Skills and Qualifications
- Exposure to Microsoft Intune or endpoint management platforms
- Basic Azure or cloud platform experience
- CompTIA Network+, Security+, Microsoft Fundamentals (MS-900 / AZ-900), or CCNA certifications
- Structured cabling or telephony system awareness
Working Environment
- Office base near Warwick University, Coventry
- Hybrid mix of office, remote support, and occasional client site visits
- Full UK driving licence preferred

- Competitive salary based on experience
- Genuine career progression within a growing MSP
- Exposure to varied technologies and client environments
- Supportive team environment focused on technical development
- Benefits package designed to support both professional and personal wellbeing
