Keoghs is looking to recruit an Intel Assistant to join the busy, fast-paced Intelligence Team. The Intel Assistant is an entry-level role with future progression prospects. The Intel Analyst will be part of a team that forms part of a wider Intelligence team based in our Horwich, Bolton office.

The nature of the role includes, but is not limited to the following:

  • Reviewing and adding new suspected fraudulent insurance claims onto our Keoghs Intelligence Database.
  • Verbal and written communication with external organisations, such as insurers, to obtain information to assist with gathering intelligence on suspected fraudulent insurance claims.
  • Assisting the Intelligence Analysts with progressing investigations and intelligence searches when necessary, answering phone calls, preparing outgoing correspondence, maintenance of internal databases.
  • Responding to incoming requests for information from external organisations, assisting the wider industry with the prevention and detection of fraud.

Key Accountabilities

  • Identifying key information from new files and manual entry of data onto various internal databases.
  • Decision making on what enquiries can be followed up and liaising with the Intelligence Analyst and internal file handler accordingly.
  • Making calls to insurers to obtain information relating to previous claims.
  • Compliance with service level agreements (SLAs) and internal policies and procedures.
  • Prioritising own workload and ability to maintain focus and commitment once sign off has been achieved.
  • Prepare responses to internal and external requests received based on the file information.
  • Communicate in a professional manner to obtain information.
  • Chargeable time recording targets – the target will increase during the probation period in accordance with progression and competency in addition to team-focused targets.
  • Provide and maintain accurate MI Spreadsheets.

Working Hours

35 hours per week, Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm with 1 unpaid hour for lunch. Primary location for this role is Parklands, Bolton Office. We also have a presence in Birmingham. We are agile workers and currently attend the office at least 1 day a week.

Experience, Skills and Qualifications

Essential:

  • Pass in English & Maths GCSE or equivalent.
  • IT literacy.
  • Good telephone manner.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail must be of a high standard, especially when dealing with repetitive type tasks.
  • Ability to prioritise and work on own initiative.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and organise workload.
  • Commitment to learning and understanding processes and building a level of experience within the role.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience of working in a target-driven environment and/or time recording.
