As a Senior Insurance Product Manager at Davies in the Consulting and Technology division, you will be at the forefront of shaping our insurance product portfolio and driving its success across claims, underwriting, and policy lifecycle solutions, working directly with the Insurance Industry Lead and associated team. Reporting to the Director of Product and working directly with the Product Management function, you will be responsible for executing a comprehensive Insurance product portfolio that aligns with Consulting and Technology goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Leadership: Take ownership of the entire product lifecycle, from concept to launch, and ensure alignment with a focus on driving insurance solutions in alignment with the company vision.
  • Insurance Strategic Planning: Work directly with the Consulting and Technology Insurance Lead and associated team to develop Insurance Business Strategy into compelling Insurance Products into repeatable products.
  • Roadmap Ownership: Create and maintain a clear and well-communicated product roadmap that outlines key features, enhancements, and releases, ensuring alignment with business priorities.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, design, marketing, and commercial, to drive product success and alignment with company goals.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and areas for growth within the insurance and InsurTech landscape.
  • Competitive Analysis: Monitor competitor products, including InsurTech and core insurance platform providers, identifying areas for differentiation and innovation.
  • Financial Accountability: Manage the product budget, track financial performance, and ensure products meet revenue, profitability, and cost control targets.
  • Customer-Centric Approach: Maintain a deep understanding of user needs across insurers, brokers, MGAs, and claims teams, through continuous engagement and feedback.
  • Product Launch Excellence: Work closely with the stakeholder environment to plan and execute successful product launches, including go-to-market strategies, marketing collateral, and customer training materials.
  • KPI-Driven Decision-Making: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of product initiatives.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • Insurance Domain Expertise Essential: Strong knowledge of insurance value chains, including claims, underwriting, delegated authority, policy administration and regulatory requirements, to inform product decisions.
  • Regulatory & Compliance Awareness: Ensure products are designed in line with UK and international insurance regulations (e.g. FCA requirements, data protection, auditability).
  • Extensive experience as a Product Manager across the full lifecycle from ideation to development and Go-To-Market.
  • People management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Proficiency in creating and maintaining product roadmaps and strategy documents.
  • Good communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Dedication to delivering exceptional products that meet customer needs and drive business growth.
  • Experience in regulated industries, such as insurance or banking, is advantageous.
