New Opportunity supportive management. Deliver expert subsidence services for domestic and commercial property insurance claims, ensuring exceptional customer experience and timely resolution. What will your day look like:
- Claims Management Excellence: Proactively manage a diverse portfolio of subsidence claims, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely settlement within delegated authority limits.
- Customer-Centric Approach: Champion the principle of treating customers fairly, providing clear communication and support throughout the claims process.
- Collaborative Liaison: Engage with clients, policyholders, local authorities, third parties, and internal teams to coordinate investigations and solutions.
- Data Integrity: Maintain precise and up-to-date records in the company’s claims management system.
- Supplier Coordination: Oversee third-party specialists—such as arboricultural consultants, site investigators, and drainage repair teams—ensuring quality and cost-effective outcomes.
- Technical Oversight: Review and audit surveyor reports, and create accurate building repair schedules using our in-house schedule of rates.
- Quality Assurance: Adhere to customer service standards and SLAs, delivering consistent, high-quality results.
Knowledge and Abilities:
- Hold an appropriate professional building qualification such as MICE, MRICS, MCIOB, MIStrucE, MCABE or progressing towards this.
- Detailed knowledge of structural defects affecting buildings.
- Ability to diagnose the cause of damage without visiting, based on information collected by others.
- Detailed knowledge of subsidence engineering / surveying.
- Experience of the insurance industry and understanding of insurance liability.
- Ability to influence, negotiate and obtain agreement where required.
- Ability to assess and resolve problems and find solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Good time management skills and ability to prioritise in order to meet deadlines.
