As our next Property Loss Adjuster, you'll handle a range of claims of varying complexity and value. You'll enjoy working on a broad and busy caseload, with each day bringing new challenges. We seek candidates with a strong background in both Domestic and Commercial claims and the motivation to operate within a remote team in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
What will your day look like:
- Achieve activity levels aimed at reducing WIP throughout the year.
- Process invoices and approve estimates within 5 working days.
- Manage interim fees during the claim lifecycle.
- Complete site notes and documentation within SLA.
- Proactively manage files to reduce elapsed timescales.
- Identify potential fraud and recoveries, referring cases as appropriate.
- Ensure correct policy interpretation and validation.
- Prepare and approve reports for clients per SLA and format.
- Update customers and clients proactively in line with SLA.
- Follow procedures when dealing with problems and complaints.
- Build strong relationships with clients and internal/external staff.
- Identify and refer business opportunities.
- Handle out-of-hours calls as per rota.
Knowledge and Abilities:
- Previous Property Loss Adjuster experience.
- Professional qualifications at diploma level or working towards them.
- Attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to organize and manage workload independently.
- Flexibility to work in a fast-changing environment.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Willingness to work nationally with overnight stays occasionally.
- Availability for standby on a rota, including weekends and public holidays.
