If you enjoy using your expertise in a direct client facing role, joining Davies as a Desktop Loss Adjuster will be a great fit for you. Our Desktop Loss Adjusters all bring something different in terms of their technical and professional expertise, but they all share a passion to represent the broader Davies Team out in the field. Joining Davies as our latest Desktop Loss Adjuster means that you\\\'ll be handling claims of varying complexity and value in an efficient and timely manner, supporting the Loss Adjusting team as directed.

What will your day look like:

  • Have a detailed knowledge of all aspects of Domestic & Commercial claims, processes and be able to interpret and apply policy cover, terms and conditions as appropriate.
  • Have a detailed knowledge of Building structures including foundations, walls, spanning members their performance and the nature of building materials and material pathology such as freeze-thaw cycle, moisture gradients, rising damp, creep, chemical attack.
  • Have a thorough understanding of the nature of building defects and their causes.
  • Understand the principles of building repair and maintenance.
  • Proactively direct an investigation appropriate to the circumstances.
  • Demonstrate applied understanding of advanced negotiation skills to achieve settlement.

Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced and changing environment.
  • Dependability and persistence are essential.
  • Flexible approach and adaptable to changing priorities.
  • Full driving license required.
  • Insurance claims experience.
  • ACII and ACILA qualifications preferable.
