Description

Hours: Full-Time, 35 hours per week, Monday – Friday.

Location: Hybrid, with one day a week at our company premises in Stoke-on-Trent or Glasgow.

Davies is seeking Claims Handlers to join our growing Casualty team. This role offers an engaging environment where you will provide first-class proactive claims handling services to major clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaison: Communicate effectively with insurers, policyholders, and brokers.
  • Investigation: Manage allocated claims, either from your desk or by referring them to a field adjuster for on-site investigation when necessary.
  • Evidence Gathering: Collect all relevant evidence and documentation.
  • Resolution: Determine appropriate actions to resolve each case.
  • Reporting: Prepare detailed reports advising on policy indemnity, legal liability, quantum, and tactics as needed.
  • Negotiation: Negotiate settlements within your authority limits.
  • Professional Correspondence: Maintain proactive communication with all involved parties.
  • Adherence to Procedures: Handle cases according to documented procedures and client requirements.
  • Reserve Management: Regularly review and maintain appropriate reserves.
  • Continuous Learning: Keep updated on technical changes relevant to your role, including participating in company training programs.
