The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 € per year.

The role involves a mix of property casualty work, subrogated recovery and policy advice work for a wide range of Insurance clients. The successful applicant will be responsible for their own case load of files and for undertaking individual file handling tasks in support of senior File Handler(s). They will also assist with litigated motor recovery claims.

Key Responsibilities

  • Running their own case load of pre and post-litigation property damage files
  • Adhering to court deadlines and managing files in accordance with court timetables
  • Conduct of Court hearings
  • Instructing experts
  • Instructing and working with Counsel
  • Carrying out detailed reviews of quantum
  • Liaising with clients/other insurers/third parties
  • Liaising with policyholders and witnesses
  • Negotiating settlements
  • Drafting pleadings/court documents
  • Assisting other file handlers with their case loads
  • Any other tasks as they arise to efficiently run their caseload

Working Hours

35 hours per week Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm with 1 unpaid hour for lunch. Primary location for this role is home working. The office location is Glasgow.
