Trainee Customs Clearance Operator – Bristol

Location: Avonmouth, Bristol (BS11 8DT)
Salary: Up to £24,500
Hours: Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per week) (part time or flexible hours will be considered)

Customs Clearance Operator – The Role:

We have a vacancy within our Customs Clearance department for a Customs Clearance Operator. This interesting role entails co-ordinating and liaising with Customs Authorities on behalf of Davies Turner, administering all freight requiring Customs Clearance whilst complying with all necessary controls and HMRC formalities and procedures, including bonded stock.

The job is ideal for someone who already has some experience in a Customs environment, or as a first step on the career ladder for someone who is interested in working in Customs.

Customs Clearance Operator – You:

• Willingness to learn new systems
• A self-starter and driven
• Excellent attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to build a rapport with Customs and Davies Turner colleagues
• Excellent IT skills

In addition, you’ll also need the right to work in the UK – we are not able to sponsor work permits.
