Davies Turner has an exciting opportunity for a Global Accounts Coordinator to join their Global Accounts Team based in Manchester.

Location: Manchester, M17 1DY

Salary: £25,000 per annum

Vacancy Type: Full Time, Permanent

Hours: Monday - Friday, 09.00-17.30 (37.5 hours)

Global Accounts Coordinator - The Role:

To provide shipping, transport and forwarding expertise, build and develop relationships with customers in order to generate and increase business. Understanding customers needs and requirements and promote internal solutions across the Davies Turner services range. To provide service information, quotations, take bookings and champion the needs of the customer.

Global Accounts Coordinator - Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Provide service information, quotations and take bookings while delivering high standards of customer service
  • Handle shipments by road and sea forwarding, protect company finances by monitoring credit ratings and outstanding balances
  • Receive incoming enquiries, collect necessary information and process bookings accurately and efficiently
  • Follow up quotations with customers and work to secure business opportunities
  • Collate information to handle order progress enquiries and keep customers informed of status
  • Work with Sales Executives to develop and secure new business
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Customs Regulations, Dangerous Goods and Insurance rules
  • Liaise with customs staff to ensure goods are cleared for import and export promptly
  • Maintain accurate documentation and keep all records and systems up to date

Global Accounts Coordinator - You:

  • Previous office admin experience beneficial but not essential
  • Ability to prioritise
  • Ability to adapt to change
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to learn new skills
  • Excellent command of the English language
