Davies Turner have an exciting opportunity for a Freight Forwarder within our Central Planning Office Department to join the China Rail Import team based in Dartford.

Responsibilities

  • Arranging import shipment bookings
  • Preparing quotations
  • Liaising with our customers, offices and overseas partners
  • Charging files, passing invoices and dealing with queries
  • Dealing with customers, keeping them updated, solving problems

This position is based at Edison’s Business Park, Crossways in Dartford which has good road, bus and rail links. In addition, you will need the right to work in the UK - we can’t sponsor work permits.

Requirements

  • Freight Forwarding experience (but not essential)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Keen eye for detail, adaptable with a willingness to learn
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft programmes
  • Ability to work in a customer focused environment in a professional manner
  • A team player, keen to play a part in the success of the department
  • Good Commercial awareness
