Customer Relationship Team Manager – The Role:

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to lead the European Road Customer Relationship Team (CRT) in Birmingham. You will be responsible for managing our European Road CRT and our planning department which handles both import and export shipments along with full profit & loss responsibility.

You will have considerable drive and passion and share our ambitious plans to succeed in increasing revenues and growing the European customer base through customer service excellence.You will need a proven track record managing a busy operational department with at least 2 years’ managerial experience.

As well as sound operational expertise and knowledge of the European services, youdemonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills ensuring you get the best out of your team and increase sales.

Key responsibilities will consist of:

• Line management of a team of 18 colleagues
• Accountability for the profit and loss of the department
• Working closely with Sales and Trade Lane Managers to develop our existing customers as well as new business wins
• Set and maintain a high standard of customer service
• Ensure a high level of accuracy for the department’s accounting systems
• Setting the departmental budgets
• Completing tenders and presenting to Key Account customers
• Preparing KPI reports

Customer Relationship Team Manager – You:

To be considered for this position you will need to have:

• Strong leadership and team building skills
• A committed work ethic, drive and great initiative
• Sound commercial sense with good financial acumen to maximise profits
• Strong analytical skills in measuring performance and a drive for continuous improvement
• 2 years’ managerial experience
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of the industry is essential
• Knowledge of all Microsoft Office suite applications particularly Excel
• Travel around the UK may be required
