We are working with a well regarded, and long established law firm operating in the Intellectual Property space with a number of offices in the UK & Europe. The company's main office is in the city of London. The successful candidate will be trained in all aspects of Patents and Trademarking and there is a clear career development route to becoming an IP Legal Assistant in 6-9 months from joining.
The Role- Support Fee Earners in IP management
- Handling and coordinating of filing multiple applications
- Use various technologies such as case management systems, Patent specific platforms and the MS Office suite
- Produce correspondence to clients, agents and patent/trademark offices
- Produce draft applications/specifications
- Managing your Fee Earner’s diary and reminder systems
- Maintain Case and Client Files within the Document Management System
- Compile official forms
- Managing own and Fee Earner Work In Progress, managing and checking invoicing
- Documenting key processes and keep documented processes current
- Support and input into project work
- Assist monitor and manage email inboxes
- Prepare cost estimates, forecasts and client portfolio reports
- Handle enquiries from clients and foreign agents
- 12 to 18 months experience working in a similar role in a professional services firm
- Have some exposure to IP Law
- Good level of education including Law focused studies
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- A good typing speed
- Organised with good interpersonal skills

- £26,000 starting salary & full training
- 20 days annual holiday increasing annually to 25 days
- Flex scheme allowing for an additional 8 days’ leave per year
- Flexible working with 2 days from home, will kick in after 8 weeks after suitable training completed
