A growing UK Venture Capital firm is seeking a Business Development Manager to help expand its investor base and drive capital raising across a portfolio of high-growth, technology-enabled businesses. The firm focuses on innovative, capital-light companies with strong products, excellent user experience, and exceptional customer engagement — supporting them with both funding and hands-on mentorship. This is a standout opportunity for an entrepreneurial sales professional with a strong understanding of private markets and a passion for early-stage investing. You’ll play a key role in connecting investors to some of the UK’s most exciting growth companies.
Key Responsibilities
- Raise capital for the firm’s investment funds and portfolio company opportunities
- Build and nurture relationships with HNW investors, family offices, and intermediaries
- Represent the firm at investor events and industry gatherings
- Contribute to marketing and communication materials including press releases and presentations
- Maintain and grow long-term relationships with existing investors, providing regular updates on portfolio progress
About You
- Strong understanding of venture capital, private equity or early-stage investing
- Proven success raising capital from HNW or professional investors
- Established network of private investors and/or advisers
- Knowledge of EIS or other tax-efficient investment structures
- Self-motivated, articulate and confident working independently
