An established reinsurance broker is looking to recruit a Processing Manager to oversee the technical side of the business, as well as enabling them to bring various technical functions in-house. The role is critical to ensuring the accurate and efficient handling of technical and administrative aspects of reinsurance processes.
You will be responsible for managing documentation relating to reinsurance contracts, including slips, endorsements and bordereaux. In addition, there will be the requirement to process and reconcile premiums and claims payments between brokers, insurers and reinsurers, whilst liaising with brokers, underwriters, clients and reinsurers to resolve queries and ensure smooth communication.
As this will be the first incumbent in this capacity, the new hire will be tasked with hiring and training further members of the team in the short to medium term, so previous team leader / managing experience is key.
To be considered for this role, it is essential that you have solid experience with insurance / reinsurance systems (e.g. XChanging, PPL, IBS etc) and have experience working within the support team / technical team within a reinsurance or insurance brokerage previously. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in reinsurance and a passion for delivering high-quality support to brokers.
