About the Role

We’re looking for a motivated and detail-focused Claims Handler to join our growing Corporate Risk team. This is an ideal opportunity for someone at the early stages of their claims or legal career who wants to gain hands-on experience managing Public Liability and Property Damage claims from start to finish. You’ll take ownership of a varied caseload (up to £10,000 in value), developing your technical knowledge while delivering a high standard of service to clients and claimants. Every case brings something new—making this a dynamic and rewarding role where no two days are the same.

Key Accountabilities

  • Managing your own caseload of Public Liability and Property Damage claims from inception through to settlement
  • Progressing claims proactively to achieve efficient and cost-effective outcomes
  • Communicating with claimants, solicitors, and third parties in a professional and confident manner
  • Keeping accurate and up-to-date records on the case management system
  • Working in line with client SLAs and internal quality standards
  • Delivering excellent client care at every stage of the claims process
  • Effectively prioritising your workload to meet deadlines and productivity targets
  • Supporting your Team Leader and contributing positively to the wider team

Experience, Skills and Qualifications

  • At least 6 months’ relevant experience, or A law degree (or equivalent qualification)
  • Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to manage a busy workload
  • A proactive approach and strong sense of accountability
  • A commitment to delivering outstanding customer service
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
