Reporting directly to the Chief Risk Officer, this high‑impact role offers the opportunity to shape the risk landscape during a pivotal 5‑year growth journey.
As a key partner to the executive team and Board, the successful candidate will oversee enterprise‑wide risk governance, provide independent insights, and ensure strategies align with regulatory standards and the company’s risk appetite. Your expertise will empower the organisation to navigate change confidently, balancing commercial ambitions with disciplined risk practices in a fast‑paced environment.
Required Skills- Proven experience in financial services risk management, within a regulated, complex organisation
- Strong understanding of enterprise risk and control frameworks, including change management & technology
- Demonstrable influence at the board level, with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and provide constructive challenge
- Knowledge of FCA regulations, and sector‑specific policies
- Prior experience leading or supporting transformation and change initiatives
- Comprehensive understanding of financial services products and propositions
- Experience working within the intermediated financial services sector is highly desirable
- Distribution channel knowledge, particularly within vertically integrated models
