About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Rural Account Executive to support our Rural Director in managing a diverse book of farming and rural business clients. This role focuses on policies ranging from £10k to £50k, with the successful candidate primarily handling the lower-value policies while supporting the Director on larger accounts. You will also be expected to develop and grow your own book of business, with the opportunity to bring over existing clients (subject to non-compete clauses).
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a portfolio of rural insurance clients, including farms, estates, dealerships, and other rural businesses.
- Support the Rural Director with her existing book, focusing on lower-value policies.
- Develop new business opportunities and build a personal book of clients.
- Attend client meetings across the region—travel is a key part of the role.
- Maintain high standards of client service and compliance.
- Collaborate with internal Account Handlers and Executives to ensure smooth operations.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experience: Minimum 3–5 years in rural insurance, with proven Account Executive experience.
Qualifications: Cert CII qualified (essential), on journey towards DIP.
Skills: Strong business development track record, excellent interpersonal skills, and a collaborative mindset.
Other Requirements: Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly.
