The Role

Reporting into senior leadership, you will oversee all financial reporting, planning, and control activities while building scalable processes to support continued growth. The role suits someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and can combine technical excellence with strategic insight.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting & Consolidation
    • Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
    • Manage group consolidation across international subsidiaries
    • Ensure compliance with IFRS, UK GAAP, and regulatory requirements
  • Planning, Budgeting & Analysis
    • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning
    • Deliver insightful performance analysis, including KPI tracking and variance analysis
    • Prepare board-level reporting packs and dashboards to support decision-making
  • Controls, Governance & Risk
    • Strengthen internal controls and financial governance frameworks
    • Manage cash flow and optimise working capital
    • Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies
  • Operational Finance & Systems
    • Drive improvements in financial systems, processes, and automation
    • Support strategic initiatives, including international expansion
    • Oversee end-to-end revenue processes, including receivables and reconciliations

About You

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in a financial control or similar role
  • Strong technical expertise in IFRS and UK GAAP
  • Experience in multi-entity or international environments
  • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SAP)
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Desirable

  • Experience in fast-growing or scaling organisations
  • Background in implementing financial systems or process improvements
  • Ability to build and scale finance functions in evolving environments
