Founded in 1979, Davies Crane Hire Ltd is a family-run business and one of the largest independent crane hire companies in Wales. With 4 depots located in Carmarthen, Port Talbot, Milford Haven, and Cardiff, we have over 40 years of experience in the crane hire industry, specializing in Mobile, All Terrain, and Crawler Cranes.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Area Manager based across our 3 operational depots at Cardiff, Port Talbot & Carmarthen. The Area Manager will be responsible for overseeing the successful operation of all depots, managing a team of Depot Managers, ensuring safety regulations, sales targets, cost saving and operational efficiencies are all met.

Business Development – Generating New Sales / Leads
Ensuring all Depots meet Davies Crane Hire Standards
Maximising operational efficiencies.
Qualifications
- CPCS A61 Appointed Person
- Experience in crane hire industry
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to problem-solve and make strategic decisions
- Organisational and time-management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Experience with logistics and fleet management
- Senior Management experience desirable
