Davies global expansion has opened an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated and creative PR Manager to join our fast-growing Global Press Office. This role will help build, maintain and increase Davies' strong profile across the insurance and highly regulated sectors. Delivering specialist professional services and technology solutions, Davies works in partnership with leading insurance, highly regulated and global businesses. This role will be working with a wide range of business areas spanning several markets across the globe including the UK and US. These include: Consulting and Technology, Forensic Accounting and Insurance Solutions.
In this role, you'll manage and execute the delivery of Davies' media strategy. You'll work in close co-ordination with the global press office and the divisional marketing teams. You will look for creative and innovative ways to engage the media with exciting storytelling and oversee press campaigns to increase Davies' profile in target publications.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee, define and deliver the Davies media strategy across multiple service offerings, working in close collaboration with the Head of Corporate Communications and the relevant marketing, internal communications & events teams.
- Manage the Davies press office, leading a small global communications and content team.
- Set goals and objectives for the PR team that aligns with the firm's global strategy.
- Work collaboratively with Head of Corporate Communications, Heads of Marketing and other colleagues across the business to find and develop agenda-setting stories.
- Working with the Head of Corporate Communications to ensure a clear, co-ordinated approach to how Davies is positioned to media and external audiences, built around and aligned to the firm's global strategy.
- Build and maintain excellent relationships with target global insurance media and use your understanding of the insurance sector to look for opportunities to elevate Davies experts to our target audiences.
- Write press releases, fact sheets and briefing documents to ensure messaging is clear and aligned with the business' goals & objectives.
- Be the first port of call for journalists and other organisations we work to influence.
- Work with the Head of Corporate Communications to respond quickly, confidently, and sensitively to negative or critical news stories, and to positive incoming requests.
- Manage daily media monitoring, and associated services and produce communications reports to demonstrate media impact.
- Work collaboratively/strategically with global marketing and internal communications colleagues to develop an integrated approach to PR, communications, events and recruitment marketing.
- Support the building of a strong, distinctive employer brand identity for Davies in all external communications and third-party platforms.
- Help to create and execute communications strategies to develop Davies profile and strengthen its reputation as a fair and excellent employer.
- Be the internal point of contact for approved messaging and company descriptions.
- Support the coordination and management of external PR agencies.

- Some overseas travel may be required.
- Previous experience working in a busy press office or PR agency function.
- Excellent communication and writing skills.
- A strong track record of collaborative working with marketing teams and senior stakeholders, building strong internal relationships and 'managing upwards'.
- You will have a natural ability to spot a story and an in depth understanding of what makes content engaging and persuasive.
- You will enjoy networking, travelling and meeting new people.
- 4 years + experience in a B2B public relations role in-house or agency environment.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Good understanding of the media landscape in the UK & US.
- Previous experience working within insurance / financial / professional services sector.
- Bachelor's degree in communications / journalism / public relations or related discipline.
