Exciting opportunity for a Lead Designer to work in a collaborative and supportive environment within Davies' marketing and communications team. Reporting to the Group Head of Creative, you will lead the development and execution of design concepts for the brand across multiple channels, including employer branding.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead the team in brand creative development, including guideline creation and adherence.
- Provide daily direction to the design team, ensuring creative outputs align with visual identity and branding standards.
- Guide team members on branding guidelines, supporting their application in various projects.
- Lead campaign concepting and prioritize design tasks with the team.
- Manage projects using Monday.com.
- Work across diverse media such as photography, illustration, animation, and video to produce innovative, on-brand creative content.
- Collaborate with fellow designers to develop creative solutions.
- Mentor a team of creatives across the UK, US, and India, fostering a collaborative environment and providing constructive feedback.
- Ensure brand consistency across all communication channels.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to inspire new ideas and creative strategies.
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience as a graphic designer in-house or at an agency.
- Graphic design qualification or equivalent.
- Strong technical skills in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator).
- Excellent layout and typography skills.
- Preferred experience in insurance or professional services sectors.
- A portfolio demonstrating creativity and attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret briefs independently and produce relevant creative work.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive, energetic team player with a passion for innovation and pushing creative boundaries.
- Skills in video editing and animation.
