Head of Technology Services & Partnerships

Application Deadline: 9 July 2025 Department: Consulting Employment Type: Permanent – Full Time Location: Home United Kingdom Description
The Head of Technology Services and Partnerships is a senior commercial technology leader within Consulting & Technology (C&T), responsible for converting strategic opportunities into scalable, high-impact technology solutions that directly contribute to revenue growth, client retention, and margin improvement.

The role owns the end-to-end commercial traceability of technical execution – ensuring all solution design, infrastructure, and partnerships are tightly aligned with business performance metrics. It also leads the evolution of a globally scalable delivery model, optimizing the commercial leverage of internal teams and external partners.

This is a results-focused role with clear accountability for enabling top-line and bottom-line outcomes through technology.

Key Responsibilities
1. Own Commercial Solution Specification

  • Convert strategic ideas and sales opportunities into high-confidence solution specifications with measurable business value.
  • Ensure all technical delivery plans are traceable to commercial KPIs (e.g., revenue uplift, margin, time to market, renewal value).
  • Collaborate with Solution Specialists to embed a business case mindset into design processes.

2. Infrastructure & Application Strategy Aligned to Growth

  • Define and continuously optimise the infrastructure and architecture required to support delivery at pace and scale.
  • Standardise the use of modern platforms, languages, and practices to improve velocity, cost-efficiency, and technical resilience.
  • Hold accountability for delivery readiness of platforms supporting £20m+ in revenue.

3. Ecosystem & Tooling for Scalable Commercial Execution

  • Build and govern a tooling and platform ecosystem that enables efficient, repeatable delivery and supports gross margin improvement.
  • Ensure tooling decisions are driven by commercial performance metrics, including build speed, defect rates, and cost per deployment.

4. Technology Partnership Strategy

  • Lead the identification, negotiation, and management of strategic technology partners that enhance our sales potential, delivery capability, and innovation capacity.
  • Act as a senior commercial representative for C&T in external forums, and hold accountability for joint GTM success and co-sell initiatives.
  • Manage client-side tech relationships where delivery or integration risk impacts revenue or renewal.

5. Global Delivery Model & Capability Development

  • Scale a commercially viable, globally distributed technical team with an initial UK core.
  • Embed commercial accountability into delivery teams through measurable objectives tied to client and revenue outcomes.
  • Upskill the team in technologies and approaches that enable faster, more profitable delivery.

Skills & Expertise
Essential

  • Proven track record in leading technology architecture and delivery with clear commercial outcomes.
  • Demonstrable experience aligning infrastructure and solution design to revenue, cost, and value targets.
  • Strong partner ecosystem management experience, including joint go-to-market planning and performance tracking.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with ability to influence P&L owners and executive leadership.

Desirable

  • Experience in fast-growth consulting, digital transformation, or SaaS/product environments.
  • Exposure to regulated industries where delivery quality and technical assurance impact margin and renewal.
  • Familiarity with commercial levers such as pricing models, IP reuse, and platform monetization.

Personal Attributes

  • Commercially accountable – sees technology as a lever for business performance, not just delivery.
  • Outcome-obsessed, with strong instincts for balancing innovation, speed, and cost.
  • Strong communicator with the ability to simplify complexity and sell the business value of technology.
  • Operates with urgency, discipline, and precision in high-growth, cross-functional environments.
