We are seeking a proactive and skilled IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our IT team, currently made up of 4 people Supporting a growing business with over 400 employees across 45 sites, including a mobile workforce, this role is pivotal in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our IT infrastructure.
The responsibilities include ensuring system availability, performance, and scalability to meet business requirements. This role requires expertise in managing a combination of on-premises SAN and Saas, iPaaS integration technologies, as well as multiple enterprise applications across various platforms.
You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining core IT systems, supporting end-users, and contributing to strategic IT projects. This is a hands-on role that requires a strong technical foundation, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for delivering exceptional service.

Responsibilities:
Infrastructure & Systems
- Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable IT infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments.
- Cloud architecture and security
- Manage Windows Server environments, Hyper-V, Failover Clusters, and SAN storage.
- Administer Active Directory, Azure AD, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
- Monitor and optimize system performance, availability, and capacity.
- Manage Veeam backup and replication and perform monthly system backups.
- Support disaster recovery planning and execution.
- Maintain network infrastructure including firewalls, switches, routers, cradlepoints, and wireless access points.
- Support and manage the business VOIP system.
- Collaborate with teams to support application deployments and integrations.
Helpdesk & Operational Support
- Provide 2nd/3rd line support for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Define & manage new starter and leaver processes.
- Build and configure cradlepoints and VPN access for remote sites.
- Network performance monitoring and tuning.
- Assess & liaise with third-party vendors and service providers.
- Maintain accurate documentation of systems, configurations, and procedures.
- Develop 1st & 2nd lines Support skill sets

Experience:
- 3–5+ years in IT infrastructure or systems engineering roles.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP.
- Experience with Hyper-V, Failover Clustering, and virtualization.
- Solid understanding of networking (TCP/IP, VLANs, firewalls).
- Experience with Azure, Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, SharePoint.
- Familiarity with iPaaS tools and cloud integration.
- Backup and disaster recovery experience (Veeam preferred).
- Awareness of GDPR and IT risk management.
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
- CompTIA A+ / Network+ / Security+
- ITIL Foundation Certification
