Our community pharmacy in Dalry is looking for a motivated new team member!
This is a part-time Delivery Driver position for 6 hours a week – Thursday 1pm-4pm and Friday 1pm-4pm.
What is a Pharmacy Delivery Driver?
As a Pharmacy Delivery Driver, your main responsibility will be the delivery of medication to patients’ homes and the collection of prescriptions from GP surgeries. You will work as part of a friendly and professional pharmacy team under the guidance of the Pharmacist, in a respectful and supportive environment, providing a high-quality and compassionate service to our patients and customers.
In this role, you will handle important and often time-sensitive medication, ensuring it is delivered promptly and securely to the correct patient. Your reliability, professionalism, and attention to detail will be key to maintaining the trust our community places in us.
Who Are We Looking For?
We are looking for a friendly, motivated individual who takes pride in their work and wants to make a difference in their local community. You will regularly interact with vulnerable individuals, so it is vital you always act with professionalism, care, and discretion.
You will also need strong communication skills, as you may need to pass on information or provide reassurance to patients during deliveries. You will serve as a valuable link between the patient and the pharmacy team.
You must hold a Full UK Driving Licence, have good communication skills, and be able to maintain patient confidentiality while delivering outstanding service.
Please note: This role is subject to a Level 1 Basic Scottish Disclosure, completion of a Medical Questionnaire to confirm fitness for the role, and a DVLA Check due to driving responsibilities.
