David Zwirner is seeking an Operations Intern to support the London gallery location. Qualified candidates should be highly personable, organized, motivated, and responsible, with an interest in gaining experience in the daily operations of a contemporary art gallery. Please read the specific department descriptions carefully before applying.
What you’ll do:
- Support on-site gallery events as needed.
- Support the Operations team with hospitality and preparation for visiting staff.
- Assist the Operations team with maintaining presentable and well-stocked spaces.
- Support the Front Desk team with gallery errands and ad hoc tasks.
- Assist the Technical department with models, gallery artwork shuttles, inventory checks, SketchUp renders, and small artwork installations and show changes.
- Submit Expensify reports for the Operations and Technical teams.
- Work alongside and in collaboration with our Sales Intern and Communication and Photography Intern.
- Conduct ad hoc project support.
Please note that there are general/ad hoc intern tasks included in the role.
What we would like you to have:
- Highly personable, focused, and hardworking nature.
- A detail-oriented eye for the aesthetic needs of an efficient, organized, elevated office space.
- Previous experience working at a gallery or museum.
To ensure that our interns have a well-rounded and educational experience, we ask for a commitment of 6 months. Our gallery hours are 10AM – 6PM, Mondays through Fridays, with additional hours for occasional events and openings. Only qualified candidates will be contacted. Absolutely no calls or walk-ins please. Immediate start and eligibility to work in the UK is essential.
