Due to growth within the team, a vacancy has arisen for a Hygiene Supervisor. The role will be covering Hygiene, GMP and Factory Floor Standards. The main purpose of this position is to manage the requirements within the department β effectively and efficiently β through the optimum use of people, materials and plant / equipment / machinery, in order to achieve output requirements in compliance with company / site / legislative standards of quality, quantity, cost and timescale.
The successful candidate must have outstanding communication skills and have experience of leading and developing teams as well as having a minimum of 1 years in a Hygiene position.
Shifts: Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day. Times to be discussed at interview.
Responsibilities & Requirements
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Ensure a safe working environment for the employees in the department.
- Ensure all scheduled cleans are completed and communicated
- Working directly with the Technical and Production Departments to ensure the highest food safety and hygiene standards are embedded throughout the team
- Planning, organising and monitoring the team in order to achieve or exceed the expected performance levels
- Responsible for ensuring that the required quality, safety, hygiene and environmental standards are implemented, maintained and improved.
- To be aware of all food industry cleaning chemicals their use, mixing strengths and precautions.
- Monitor the work of Hygiene Operatives whilst performing their tasks.
- Control of site PPE, inventory and issuance.
Experience Required:
- Previous experience of working within a food manufacturing environment.
- Supervisory experience.
- Good working knowledge of the BRC hygiene regulations and practices
- Ability to prioritise tasks, effective planner, attention to detail and articulate manner.
Full training will be given for the right person.
