SHIFT ENGINEERS – MULTI-SKILLED / ELECTRICAL / MECHANICAL Location: Sidney Street, BL3 6BG Salary: £55,000 Shifts: Days & Nights: 06:00–18:00 / 18:00–06:00 Due to continued growth and investment, David Wood Baking is looking for experienced Multi-Skilled (Mechanical & Electrical) Shift Engineers to join our engineering team. David Wood Baking is a food manufacturing organisation with a site based in Bolton. We have over 20 years experience in the food business, and currently produce a range of quality products for the retail and food service industry from seven high-tech factories. In the last 12 months, we have invested heavily in our plant and team and we are now looking to expand our engineering team, by seeking experienced multi-skilled Shift Engineers to join the team. MULTI-SKILLED ENGINEER * Planned and reactive maintenance across the site * Electrical and mechanical fault finding and repairs * Breakdown response to minimise production downtime * Maintenance of motors, drives, conveyors, pneumatics and hydraulics * Support continuous improvement and equipment reliability MECHANICAL ENGINEER * Planned and reactive maintenance of production machinery * Fault finding and repair of bearings, chains, sprockets, gearboxes and conveyors * Pneumatic and hydraulic systems * Welding, fabrication and machining * Identify and implement improvements to equipment reliability ELECTRICAL ENGINEER * Electrical fault finding and repair of production equipment * PLC fault finding and control systems * Motors, drives, control panels and instrumentation * Electrical installation and testing * Support planned maintenance and reliability improvements WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR * Time-served Mechanical, Electrical or Multi-Skilled Engineer * NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, Apprenticeship or equivalent is essential * Manufacturing or FMCG experience is essential * Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills * Ability to read engineering drawings and schematics * Good understanding of Health & Safety * Flexible approach to shift working WHAT WE OFFER * Competitive salary of up to £55,000 * Overtime opportunities * Training and development * Career progression * Company pension * Life assurance * Employee Assistance Programme * On-site parking Interested?
