Eresby Special School is a specialist Academy for pupils aged 2 to 19 years with a diverse range of highly complex Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). We are situated in Spilsby in Lincolnshire and are fortunate to access a wide range of services and providers in our local community, with whom we are proud to work alongside.

Working collaboratively with the Therapies Lead, teachers, support staff and external professionals to support in the delivery of and evaluation of safe, engaging, and therapeutic Rebound Therapy sessions for pupils with a wide range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). The assistant will use rebound therapy to support pupils' physical, sensory, emotional, communication, and social development while promoting enjoyment, confidence, and wellbeing. Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, support staff, and families, the practitioner will ensure sessions contribute to pupils' individual education, health, and therapy outcomes.

30 hours per week, 39 term time weeks. Permanent role.

Role Requirements:

  • Accredited Rebound Therapy Practitioner qualification or a willingness to undertake training relevant to the role.
  • Current First Aid qualification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Commitment to continuing professional development.
  • Experience working with children or young people with SEND.
  • Experience delivering therapeutic or adapted physical activity.
  • Experience supporting pupils with a range of physical, learning, sensory, and communication needs.
  • Experience managing behaviour positively and effectively.
