Overview
Reporting into the Head of Procurement, the Manager will support delivery of the Trust\’s procurement strategy, ensuring that all procurement activities are conducted efficiently, transparently and in accordance with relevant regulations and best practices. This role is vital in supporting the Trust\’s objectives by ensuring value for money, effective supplier management and strategic sourcing; and providing a high-quality, user-friendly procurement support service to academy-based and central services colleagues.
Our family of schools includes 24 primaries, 10 secondaries, an all-through school in London\’s Olympic Park, and a special school in Lincolnshire supporting pupils aged 2-19 with a broad range of special educational needs. Responsibilities
- Support delivery of the Trust\’s procurement strategy and ensure procurement activities are efficient, transparent and compliant with regulations and best practices.
- Deliver value for money, effective supplier management and strategic sourcing.
- Provide a high-quality, user-friendly procurement support service to academy-based and central services colleagues.
- Lead on a range of procurement and contract management activities, coordinating multiple priorities and working proactively under pressure.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a public sector procurement role with strong understanding of procurement regulations and best practices.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical and strategic thinking skills; strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure; lead on procurement and contract management activities.
- The successful candidate will hold a CIPS Level 4 Diploma in Procurement and Supply or higher.
