As the DofE Coordinator, you'll be at the forefront of facilitating an enriching experience for students at bronze, silver, and gold levels. You will ensure that all participants have the opportunity to grow, succeed, and gain the full benefits of the award. Your role will be pivotal in guiding young people through challenges, fostering their leadership skills, and helping them become well‑rounded individuals.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the delivery of high‑quality programmes to young people in the DofE group.
  • Manage the provision of a safe and enjoyable DofE programme for participants in the DofE group.
  • Support participants to decide on their programme choices and set their timescales and goals.
  • Encourage participation in chosen activities by participants on a regular basis.
  • Support expedition team(s) with expedition planning and arrange for the team(s) to be trained in all required areas.
  • Encourage the use of eDofE by participants, regularly approve uploaded evidence, and agree the completion of sections.
  • Celebrate student achievement through assemblies, newsletters, and award ceremonies.
  • Keep in regular contact with the DofE Co‑ordinator and/or DofE Manager.
  • Respond to requests from the licensed organisation in a timely manner.
  • Regularly communicate with parents/carers about DofE group plans and meetings.
  • Use eDofE to measure the performance of the DofE group and keep abreast of participation.
  • Promote a culture of teamwork, safety, and inclusion.
  • DofE Leaders must undertake the e‑induction and Introduction to the DofE courses.
  • Further training may be undertaken by completing the DofE Leadership programme.

Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate with pupils, parents, staff, and other members of the Trust.
  • Ability to develop and maintain a warm, respectful, and valued rapport with young people.
  • Able to provide inspirational leadership and motivate young people.
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
  • IT literate.
  • Flexible approach with the ability to plan, manage and monitor own tasks and time.

Benefits

  • TLR 2.1 allowance, £3,527 per annum.
