Position Science Teacher at Charnwood College (11–18). We are looking for an excellent practitioner of science to teach all specialisms up to GCSE Level and, where possible, provide specialist support for A Level Physics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach science specialisms up to GCSE Level.
  • Provide specialist support for A Level Physics (where applicable).
  • Support and challenge all students to improve learning outcomes.
  • Collaborate with curriculum leads, CPD team, and school staff to deliver high‑quality, consistent teaching.
  • Adhere to safeguarding, welfare and health & safety policies and procedures.
  • Participate in safeguarding checks, including Enhanced DBS, social media presence check and other required vetting.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Qualified science teacher with experience in teaching GCSE Level science.
  • Professional interest or experience in Physics for A Level support (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Strong commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Ability to work within a data‑driven improvement environment.
