David Phillips FF&E is a specialist contracting business actively engaged in the PBSA, BTR and Later Living markets and has been trading for over 10 years. The core team comprises sales, design, estimating, procurement and project / site management personnel, with installation services provided via a select group of third-party contractors who have worked on behalf of the business for many years www.davidphillips.com
The key responsibilities of Commercial Coordinator comprises account management of product supply partners, undertaking procurement of product for projects, proactively identify and help mitigate supply chain risks, to act as key point of contact for warranty and after sales support during DLP.
Principal Tasks
- Perform purchasing activities to support project delivery
- Liaise with Finance to create visibility of supplier financial commitments
- Help to manage SLAs with product suppliers
- Manage all aspects of product supplier administration
- Monitor supplier performance against agreed SLA terms such as OTIF
- Maintain accurate records of periodic and cumulative payments by project
- Maintain accurate records of periodic and YTD supplier payments
- Liaise with product suppliers to monitor and manage FF&E credit position
- Proactively identify / mitigate potential risks and issues with suppliers
- Liaise with project teams to ensure project needs are understood and achieved
- Resolve commercial disputes with suppliers effectively and efficiently
- Act as key point of contact for after sales and warranty support
- Help to establish robust processes with core supply partners
- Monitor and report supplier performance regarding DLP support

Qualification & Experience:
A) Essential:
- Specific knowledge of procurement practices and policies
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in construction field
- Knowledge of commercial contracts
- Financial skills including forecasting, cost control and financial reporting
- Exposure to commercial negotiation
- Experience of managing supplier relations
B) Desirable:
- Knowledge of FF&E
- Professional qualification in procurement such as CIPS
- General knowledge of construction
- Ability to cooperate and collaborate with multiple teams Knowledge of gaming software (e.g. Unreal Engine)
