We are seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer or Senior Project Engineer to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Chartered Engineer, or an ambitious engineer approaching Chartership, to take ownership of challenging projects, lead client relationships, and play a key role in the development of both our people and business.
The Role
- You will lead the design and delivery of complex structural engineering projects from concept through to completion, managing technical quality, commercial performance and project teams.
- You will work closely with architects, developers, contractors and fellow consultants to deliver practical and efficient engineering solutions.
- The successful candidate will be trusted to take ownership of multiple projects, provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to the continued growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the structural design, analysis, and delivery of projects across a range of sectors.
- Manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring delivery to programme, budget, and quality expectation.
- Act as the primary technical contact for clients, architects, and contractors.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams and manage project resources effectively.
- Undertake site inspections, design team meetings, and construction-stage support.
- Review and approve technical designs, calculations, and reports.
- Mentor and develop graduate and project engineers.
- Ensure compliance with Eurocodes, British Standards, Building Safety legislation, and company quality procedures.
- Contribute to business development, client management, and work-winning activities.
About You
- Chartered Engineer status (MIStructE or MICE) or strong progress towards Chartership.
- Proven experience delivering building structures projects independently.
- Strong technical capability across a range of structural materials.
- Experience using industry-standard analysis and modelling software.
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
- Commercial awareness and project management capability.
- A collaborative approach with a passion for mentoring and developing others.
