Are you a passionate leader with a love for sport, wellbeing, and making a difference? We’re looking for an enthusiastic Pool & Sports Facilities Activity Team Leader to join our team at David Lewis and help deliver safe, inclusive, and high-quality activities that truly change lives.

About The Role

This is more than just a job — it’s an opportunity to lead from the front in a dynamic, hands‑on environment. You’ll take charge of our pool and sports facilities, ensuring they’re safe, compliant and welcoming spaces for everyone. You’ll lead and inspire a team of lifeguards, coaches and activity staff, while also rolling up your sleeves and getting involved in day‑to‑day operations — from lifeguarding to supporting engaging activities. Your focus? Creating inclusive programmes that promote health, independence and wellbeing for the people we support.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading and supporting a team to deliver outstanding, safe services.
  • Taking responsibility for facility operations during shifts.
  • Acting as a key decision-maker in emergency situations.
  • Overseeing engaging aquatic and sports programmes.
  • Embedding a strong culture of safety, safeguarding and inclusion.
  • Ensuring compliance with all health & safety and pool plant standards.
  • Supporting staff development, training and performance.
  • Driving continuous improvement through feedback and participation.

What We’re Looking For

  • A confident leader with supervisory experience.
  • Qualified with an NPLQ and Pool Plant Operator’s Licence or willing to complete.
  • Experienced in lifeguarding and sports/activity delivery.
  • Calm and decisive under pressure.
  • Passionate about inclusive, person‑centred practice.
  • A strong communicator who can motivate and develop others.
  • Organised, proactive, solutions-focused.

Desirable: coaching/swim teaching qualifications or RLSS supervisor training.
